The Micros\' September goals
 
Totally ripping off the thread idea from the Small Stakes forum, it could be fun to see what kind of goals you guys have.

Mine are reasonably modest, since I'm a noob:

-At least 5k hands at .5/1
-Get out of my current 70BB downswing
-Cash out the $360 I invested in this hobby, so I'm just playing with OPM.
-Get used to two-tabling on my soon-to-arrive 2001fp.

No tilt (which I laid out in a previous post).
Only play $1-$2 (only allowed to move down if I lose a ton).
Read SSH.

Semester Goals – Fall ‘05

Poker (L & LSH):
1. Post at least 3 constructive posts a day on 2+2 (Micro & SH).
2. Get a coach to help plug my leaks.
3. Read 2 poker books and reread them if necessary.
4. Move up a level by mid-September.
5. Move up an additional level at 3 BB/100 (with proper BR and a good sample size).
6. Improve my shorthanded game by entering more unfilled 10max.

Fitness:
1. Work out at least 2 times a week with heavy cardio and high reps.
2. Cut back on sweets and delicious foods.
3. Drop to 190 by mid-October, less body fat %.

School & Mental:
1. Read a minimum of 2 non-poker related books.
2. Read ahead of time and be prepared for class.
3. Go to sleep by 1AM on Sunday and Tuesday.
4. See 2 live performances, whether they are theatrical or musical.

Romance:
1. Talk to a minimum of 4 girls I have never met every party night.
2. Start a conversation with at least one banger on campus weekly.
3. Throw 3 huge themed parties pulling out all the stops.

A little long winded, but I had them already done up from earlier. BTW, anyone offering coaching by any chance? [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Stop making silly mistakes, and play so many hands at certain limits. Also learn how to play poker.

By the end of September I would like to be:

- Taking shots at 2/4
- Let's say, umm, 8k hands
- Brew 1 batch of beer (extract, but moving towards whole grain)
- Fit into size 36 pants again
- Get involved in some kind of club/activity that forces interaction with other human beings in real life
