why do i always lose to donkeys?

i would be the first to admit that i am not a good player, but why do i always lose to total donkeys?

i know that they are going to bust out, but it seems everytime before they lose it all, they take my money and re-distribute it to the rest of the table. i never get any of it back.

it doesn't seem fair.

end of rant.

Maybe it's because you're the biggest donkey of them all and you don't realize it.

Here's why you lose to donkeys.

You have a large ego.

You think you can beat these guys so you raise too many hands/continuing hands when drawing dead/chip spewing etc..

You got to keep it all in check.

Hi Tom,

It appears that you have answered your own question. You have to realize that when you are playing against people of equally mediocre talent that your losses will come from the rake, which can be almost 3bb/hr at an online 2/4 table.

I think you know the answer.

The other night there was a wildman at my table who won 100+BB in 200 hands.

Because the government has had a tap on your computer ever since that "incident" and they don't want you to win. They did the same thing to me. Pour honey over the motherboard and that'll interrupt the signal.

Re: why do i always lose to donkeys?

I see myself as a fairly good player and a while ago I was doing the exact same thing against donkeys. I was too eager to get their money before someone else did. My biggest flaw was to call their preflop raises with inadequate values thinking if I hit my hand, I'd bust the donkey before someone else would. I kept losing money and it took some time to realize it.

Just play solid and their money will come. Maybe not from this fish, but maybe from the next one.
