Newbie in Vegas
 

Hi, I am a decent internet player with about 7000 $ winning in the last 12 months playing 5 - 10 SH and 10 -20 SH. I have not kept stats but cannot play for fixed / consistent number of hours due to family commitments ( translate - children) and work ( better paying for me !).

I am planning for a vegas trip and would like to know where should I play. I would like to play either 5 - 10 or 10- 20 full ring limit games. The problem is that I have never played in a casino before. What advice and you give me ? Where should I play ? What links can I look up ?

Make sure you read and fully understand the FAQ post at the top of the B&M forum.

I'd say the mirage would suit your needs perfectly, they always have 6-12 and 10-20, sometimes the games are pretty damn good too, tho I'd generally avoid playing 9am-5pm and play mostly at night.

Al brings up a good point on day vs night... I'm starting to keep records just to get a better sample size, but I am clearly seeing a difference in profits playing at night time on the strip vs day time on the strip... Night time I am a winning player...+1200 for just under 15 sessions... -650 for 11 day sessions...yuck

So Mirage seems to be one option. Any others worth playing at ? I would like to avoid any rockfest or known places where its tough to win. (I hope that makes sense!) Do they have full ring or short handed games ? Maybe this is a dumb question but I am a newbie so.........!!!

Bellagio 15-30 is a sweet game. Lots of soft action. Plus, it's a beautiful place to play.
