I never said that I layed it down because I though I was beaten but it's the combination of being beaten plus the more likely possibility of being outdrawn and since the flop was not rainbow, it increased that possibility. If it was 2 bets to me, that's a different story. But 3 though?

You have 7 outs on the flop, then 10 outs on the turn, with some obviously huge implied odds to boot.

I wouldn't feel too terrible about his fold, personally. If you are against a str8 and a higher set this could get very expensive on the big bet streets. Though there are so many donks at 1/2 that you could still be ahead. I'm probably capping and seeing what the action on the turn looks like, it's only 2BB and you are likely good enough to make it worthwhile. If it's two or three bets back to you on turn I reconsider.
