I got a Royal!

Working off a Bonus and had this hand this morning.
Should I have maybe just checked the turn to get more money in the pot or ??
I was kind of hoping to push MP1 out of the hand since I was just still on a draw but in hind sight maybe I should have waited???

Raise pre-flop, fold flop, check/call turn.

Really? You fold with 2 backdoors and an overcard? I know the board is paired, but they are 6s, not a rank that is cherished often.

Why would you have wanted to get more money into the pot as of the turn? You had nothing at that point, you were on a draw, with a 25% chance of making your straight or flush. You don't get to make your draw, then time travel back and replay the previous street the way you would have if you had known which card was coming.

As of the turn, you either check in order to only have to call one bet, or bet hoping to bluff the opponent into folding.

And you should have raised preflop.

The pot is protected, you're betting for a dry side pot. I don't count that backdoor straight for much.

I agree with your reasoning and thought it was just me looking back at the results. Kind of a sanity check. :-)
My thoughts at the time were to bluff the only remaining player out and hope for the best with the "all in" guy and an outside chance at a royal with no chance of anyone else chasing me out.
So I guess I got what I wanted!

If I raised this preflop I think I would bet/fold the flop, depending on the preflop action.
