NL400 hand vs an unkown

5 handed 2/4 blinds
two players fold and i raise to $12 with Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the button. the SB calls. he is new to the table so i dont have any read on him. he has just under $400, i have him covered. the BB folds

flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] pot is ~$26

sb checks, i bet 18, he min check raises me to 36. i make it $80 to go, he calls without really hesitating.

Turn is A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] pot is ~$185

he bets $125

thoughts?

i think he either has AQ or wants you to have it. either way you hand is ugly.

The A on the turn is not a good card for you. After the action on the flop his lead on the turn show a lot of strenght. I cant put him on a worse hand that would try to value bet the turn, and a bluff or semi-bluff would be lunatic from him here. I think its a fold. If you want to continue the hand another bet on the river would be very problematic also.

Ax [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] is possible here. Either push or fold, and I really cannot decide.

edit: k, decided fold

I don't like the position raise PF, and his min check-raise after the flop scares me a little too. You've gotten yourself into a lot of trouble with the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the turn. And he lead for 125 too. I don't know . I'd fold.

Pop the flop to 100 I think. Not many Q/9/3/4/5/6/7 turn cards that you want to see.

Other than that, you'd still be in a very tough spot on the turn. I'm leaning towards Ax [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] though instead of AQ.

i 100% agree i should have reraised to 90-100 on the flop.
