Can this type of program get you banned from a poker room?

I saw an advertizement for Texas Calculatem. It says it watches you play and gives advice. I would think this is the type of program that would get you banned from an online poker site.

I saw it earlier. IMO you are better of buying PokerTracker of PokerOffice and work on your game from there on.

I doubt this kind of program would get you in trouble. Because even though you are being given advice by the program, you still have to perform the action yourself. By the way, maybe the AI is better now, but I tried Texas Calculatem about a year and a half ago. Just to see how it did I blindly followed every one of it's recomendations for a couple of hours. It seemed to give some very strange advice and my results following it's advice was horrible. I think there are just too many variables for a program of this nature to work well.

I don't know about the "legalities".

I tried a "calculator" early in my online poker career... it was the one with the stoplight, whichever. It sucked. Hellmuth's book makes better decisions.

Don't bother.

Texas Calculatem has a virus on it, or at least it used to.

Yes that is probably true since the site states that it is now without spyware.
