I want the cash now dam it

Question,
Right now im at a point in time where I can leave my job for a 20K bump up. The catch is long term (like 12 years from now ill be 35ish) If i stayed my yearly income would be appox 300K. Where at the other places, regardless of where i went i would be around 150 -200max. So the question is should I wait out these years, or is a dollar today worth more than a dollar in the future since I can invest it and make it grow? Dam its 20K not pennies am I being to short sighted?

Anybody else remember when they were 23 and had their whole life planned out- especially the getting rich part?

Not someone who can barely pose a coherent question.

A partner at a business firm in Manhatten. Avg. Starting right now is 250K. Assuming inflation and natural increases I jumped it to 300K. Also, I never admitted I could spell, but as far as my job goes, I have admins do that. So there is still hope.

Not even close to being planned out. I just analysis of all my options. I am torn between going back to law school, following this carreer path, or moving to another company with Manhatten. I have a ton of options, I just don't know which way to go with them. 24 is getting closer and I'm big on foward thinking.

I was just [censored] round with ya, of course. But my advice is to figure out which one you like to do better, and do that. If you are making 150k a year now, 20k isnt that big of a deal if you are going to make 100k more in 10 years.
