Interesting Royal draw :)

Ok, this isn't much of an event but since it was my first time ever seeing a royal flush live and that I am the one who had it I thought I would share

So we're a bunch of friends drinking and playing poker taking it easy. There's money involved but the fun factor overcome the payout for most of us.

I'm about 2nd in chips on the SB (5 handed) with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Everyone fold to the the UTG+2 who raise 2xBB, button fold.

I raise all-in, he quickly call and show AQo.

Flop comes K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 10[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Now being effected by the booze, I just realized I flopped a nut flush but a closer look and I jumped in the air so did e verybody else including the guy who got beat but the look on his face was priceless...it was his first time ever playing Texas Hold-em and he got busted by a royal flush

Yup, that's my story of my first royal flush

Good story, my goddamned ex girlfriend hit a royal on the turn the first night I taught her how to play and didn't even realize it. Her quote after calling an all-in on the river after the board paired, "I think you might have a full house but I can't fold a flush." Best part, the guy did have a full house. He almost [censored] after she turned over her "flush" and we all realized it was a royal.

I was showing my 5 and 6 year old nephews how to play only because they had been begging me to teach them how to play "two card" like the grown-ups play. The fourth hand I dealt for them one of them hit a royal on the river only because I told him he might have a good hand at the end (any spade would have given him the nuts). I almost [censored] myself when I saw it. Beginners luck is a living breathing entity!

"my goddamned ex girlfriend hit a royal on the turn the first night I taught her how to play"

Is that why she's an ex? Or didn't she share any of the profits?

Why you got rid of a lucky player like THAT needs some explaining
:P
