How do you play AK on the flop?

I don't know how to play AK on the flop when it misses ($10+1) Normally, I bet just under a pot-sized bet, but this hand I went all due to the large pot. What do you experts do?

1/2-2/3 is my standard continuation bet. Pushing here is bad IMO.

It's not a very good idea to overbet like that there.

I assume if I get callers and the flop misses again, I should just check-fold?

Totally differnt on the turn. Depends what you have, and could improve to. You may not have a made hand but you could improve to something better so in that case I would fire another shot around the same..1/2-2/3.

But if I stone missed and am sitting with nothing then yes its a check/fold.

the main problem with the continuation bet on the flop, not just the overbet, is that you have a whole bunch of opponents, not just 1 or 2. the fewer opponents, the more likely they all fold on the flop and you don't have to continue on with your ace high.

You only have A high, thereīs three villains and itīs level 1. A push is not recommended.

lol, to think it should come to this.... - but I like it. 260 in the pot is worth it in my opinion, you should fold out anything less than QJ or so, including the draws.

I guess you could just bet 175 also (and call a push), I'm not sure if this induces more calls or not, there is probably not a big difference.

The alternative line I see is to bet 100 (and fold to a raise), I think you'll take down the pot enough for this to be better than checking.
