My SB play sucks at 1/3 blind structure, please help...
 

I thought I had my SB play down pretty well, (pretty close to even over 200k hands of 2/4), but since moving to 3/6, my SB play has become a major soft spot. Anyone got some good advice for me, specifically in unraised pots?

What is your % for folded SB to a steal. You should be completing a lot less at 1/3 structure than at 1/2 structures. I would think about stealing more when it is SB vs. BB & limping less. I'd also post your steal% when you are SB vs BB.

I don't have enough hands to make those numbers really meaningful, I just know I am playing too loosely. Specific questions are med/weak aces, connectors/suited cards in multi-limped, unraised pots with non-maniacal BB's. I feel like I'm completing way too much here (16% calls from SB...), I also may be raising loosely? KTo with one loose-limper? 77 in the same spot? A5s?

Wouldn't you want to steal less HU in the SB? The only reason I can think of to steal more is BB might suspect you're not stealing as you have to pay a lot to raise, but most people at 3/6 don't think that deep.

I would search the forums for blind play discussions. I would also make sure I'm playing .50/1 or 1/2 until I have a firm understanding of the game in most aspects. Poor blind play and average other play will put you in the negatives so make it as cheap as possible.

My point with steal more was you should complete less & raise more. You shouldn't necessarily play more hands. At a 1/2 blind structure I show that I complete more hands & at 3/6 I'm raising more. This is only when SB vs BB.
