Trump resorts
 

i was at trump last night in IN and some of the poker there was just bad i didnt do so well only lost 50 playing 5/10 but was up all night at its highest 200 and i was just wondering since i am new to the B&M side of the game i was wondering how u can get around the suck outs at the tables i mean i couldnt get people to lay down any suited card regardless of a raise or anything i need help i love the game and enjoy getting better so if there is anyone that has anything to say let me know

It definitely helps, but you'll *never* get people to stop. I mean, sucking out is the result of bad poker by one player, so why would you want him to stop? All those other times when he ends up mucking his cards to your top pair or better, his suck out attempt was ill-advised - and that will happen a lot more than the suck out will.

Weird, Trump Gary doesn't have 5/10. I'm guessing you meant 6/12. Anyway, you need to read some Theory Of Poker to understand why you are actually winning when people suck out on you - assuming you charged them the right amount.

Also, I agree, a period is nice now and again.

You need to play higher. Those 5-10 players won't lay anything down. There's a 20-40 game across the street at Resorts.

One problem at Resorts the rake for 5/10 with the bad beat is $6. It's only $5 on 20/40 making it the best deal for limit. I always have trouble playing 5/10 at Resorts. If a flush or straight hit the flop high pocket pairs are toast.
