5/10 Getting cold called holding a baby flush
 

Ive only showed down one real hand on this table. Villain is new to me.

I ($1700) am in BB w/4s5s. CO ($800) limps and button ($500) raises to $35. I call and so do CO. Pot is $140.

The flop is Qs 3s 2s, giving me the smallest possible flush. I check in order to induce a continuation bet to receive some bluff money. CO checks and button fires out a measly $40. I c/r to $200 and CO cold-calls... button folds. The pot is now about $500. CO has about $500 left and I cover.

The turn is a blank. Now what?

The way you played it you have only one option. Shove the rest in.

I would bet around $350, if raised I think you can get away from your hand. If called, I check the river either way and probably call a non spade river depending on my read.

Will pushing the turn cause villain to throw away a non nut flush? I wouldn't think so. I don't think pushing gives you a lot of folding equity on the turn.

fold for $150 more when youre getting more than 9 to 1 on your call when what could be easily the best hand?

You are right. I misread the stacks as 1800 and 1500. not 800 and 500.

You said leading makes the hand easier. If you get raised what do you do? smooth-called and a blank on the turn? smooth-called and a spade on the turn?

I can never seem to get away from underflushes, wondering if there's any way to get away from this one.

It's a judgement thing, totally player dependent, there are infinite lines to take against opponents based on what they might have, what do you think he has? Some people you move in, some people you check-raise all in on turn, some people you lead again, etc, etc. It's too player dependent to decide, however, I do think, in most situations it's correct to lead in the first place.
