KJo blind steal reraise

Button is a somewhat passive-postflop TAG.
BB is about 60/20 LAG.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
3 folds, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, Button calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, Button folds.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

River: (9.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

Hands like these make me want to chunder. I'm thinking maybe calling out of the SB would be better here.

Either fold the turn or 3-bet it. I don't hate the PF 3-bet. I will 3-bet here PF if I think the button is trying to run me over time & again. Calling here if the guy is more passive may also be ok. I like to call here many times & C/R any turn. I have found weaker blind stealers will fold to this play very often.

I agree

Yea not sure why I called the turn- I guess I was hoping he'd give up a bluff which makes no sense. When I posted the hand I glanced at it quickly and thought I had a gutshot, which I do not.

3-betting the turn is interesting. I've never considered that level of aggression with a hand like this so I have no experience with what hands a LAG like this chump will get rid of if I 3-bet.

I think the PF three bet is good. I'm folding to the turn raise though.

cheers.

3betting PF, then betting the flop getting called, betting the turn, getting raised, and folding just makes you feel used.

Pf 3-bet is usually correct.

I don't like bet//calling this turn vs a LAG. I'd much rather check/call the turn and reevaluate the river whether it's worth seeing a showdown.

Suppose in this hand, I check-called the turn, that river hit and he bet again. You calling the river on this board?

I've found very few spots where I've decided my king high was worth showing down. I'd probably be most inclined to call a river bet if the river paired a high card on the board or an ace hit.
