Marginal hand vs. flop donkbet

SB is 64.85/23.43/1.08/WtSD%49.35 in 239 hands. His only previous flop donk I saw from him was flopped trips HU.

BB is 38.17/24.95/2.06/WtSD%46.35 in 469 hands. Has some strange aggression postflop and is showdown-happy.

What's my flop line?

I raise this 100% of the time.

But that might be a leak, so i dont know.

I was torn between calling and raising

My default in the past was to call this almost every time, and now I think THAT might be a leak.

Given his VPIP, he's pretty aggressive postflop. How about calling and raising a non-diamond, non-broadway turn?

It's probably positive immediate value to raise but you'll lose the value of the button on the turn. They'll check to you and you'll have to bet almost any turn to prevent a free card. Not fun at all so plan ahead.

Much better to call the flop and act last on the turn. Let SB push another bet through BB and then decide what to do. I plan to raise a safe or favorable turn for value, but all three options are open depending on developments.

Raise it up. You have a pretty strong hand. A lot of opponents will bet into you here with flush draws, weaker 9s, small pps, or even a 2. Your hand is most likely best right now so i like a raise.

Raise the turn when a blank falls. Your flop raise isnt doing much.. no one is going to fold.

Re: Marginal hand vs. flop donkbet

I normally like the flop call/raise favorable turn, but I figured since I had the backdoor nut flush, a turn flush card wouldn't be as big of a concern. So I raised. Anyone think my A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] should affect my play at all?

FWIW, I believe my plan was to bet a blank turn and river, and calling down a flop 3bet unless things got ugly.
