Did I do something wrong here, or is this just the nature of PLO?

MP3 is an extremely lucky ultra fish and CO is solid in my experience.

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $0.25 BB (8 handed) converter

MP1 ($45.40)
MP2 ($53.80)
CO ($10)
Button ($34.30)
Hero ($8.65)
BB ($32.25)
UTG ($25.65)
UTG+1 ($23.40)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.25.
3 folds, MP2 calls $0.25, CO (poster) checks, Button calls $0.25, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.25) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero bets $1, BB folds, MP2 calls $1, CO calls $1, Button folds.

Turn: ($4.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $2, MP2 calls $2, CO calls $2.

River: ($10.25) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $5.4 (All-In), MP2 folds, CO calls $5.40.

Final Pot: $21.05

Results:
Hero has Kh 4s Qd 6d (flush, ace high).
CO has Kd Td 9s Tc (a flush, Ace high - King higher).

Outcome: CO wins $21.05.

You shold not even have put in 1 cent befor the flop. You flopped a magnificent hand. But what did you exect him to have by the river? Omaha is about the nuts.

fold preflop. reload your stack.

imho postflop you played your hand not that bad. you hit a miracle flop and got the nuts. pot it.
push the turn harder. you still got the second nuts and are short stacked, so there is not much room to find out where you stand in this hand.

but i can't blame co for staying in the hand with bottom set, gutshot-straightdraw and nut-flushdraw either...

Stop thinking about capping the SB as "it's only a half bet" ... (in this case 15 more cents), and start thinking about how marginal/bad hands like that can get in you a lot of trouble (See Exhibit A) unless you hit the flop perfectly and it holds up.

There is a short list of scenarios that decent low stakes PLO players exploit for profit ... getting paid off by the second nut flush is one of them.

Are you Stewart Reuben, co-writer along with Bob Ciaffone of Pot Limit and No Limit Poker?

If so, would you call all in w/ 9944 in a raised and reraised pot?

He admitted that was foolhardy in his book. Remember?

I estimate that nuts win the pot 25% of the time or less. If you play every hand you quickly see this. It is actually possible to win at the $25 tables by playing every hand. (I did this for a while.) It is also possible to win by raising every hand. (I tried that too. Talk about varience.)

If it's single-suited, I'd reraise with it, cos I don't want to be playing guessing games with this holding. I want to see all five cards.

Arguably foolhardy.

You'd still be an underdog to the aces and even the kings that were obviously out in that hand.
