Backup Pokertracker?
 

How? Do you export hand histories in groups of 300 or what. Cannot figure out how to just save the whole database to an external hard drive.

Find the file "HHDB.mdb". That's your database.

I'm pretty sure you can just back that up, and if you lose the regular one just plug it back into your PT folder.

How can you tell it is a HHDB.mdb? I go into my computer, into my drive, into PTv2 folder and it comes up with all these folders which at the bottom include things like, ptrack7_backup, ptrack5, etc. Also, ptregv2 for which PT forum claims not to back up.

Am I in the wrong place?

ptreg2 = where the registration is

If you want to backup your hand history and all hands copy hhdb.mdb (will be shown as hhdb only if you do not show extensions) and any file beginning with ptrack and having a mdb extension. If you only have one database (default) then hhdb.mdb and ptrack.mdb are what you want to back up. They are all in the poker tracker base dir. They will compress realy good if you zip/rar them. About 5-10% of original size.
