Hellmuth syndrome?

Not the one you might think.

I get dealt pocket aces in NL, raise it up, two callers flop comes K82, I bet about 3/4th pot and get raised. Now I think "fold, he has two pair or a set." And I would, too - but Paradise Poker doesn't have a fold and show button, which is really what I'd like to do to this guy, because I know he has two pair and he'll love seeing that I can lay down aces to his stupid raise. But there's no button so I can't. So I begin convincing myself that he has KQ and is even dumber than I thought - I call the raise, check the turn, and oops, turns out his all-in bet is less than pot size, how can I fold this? - I call and look at K8 for two pair.

Anyone experienced anything like this, other than Hellmuth with his 'bring the cameras over' schtick?

play to win money. its a bad sign when you start playing to bolster ego.

I like to make money, so folding AA on that flop is out of the question.

So you go broke on a drawless board against someone who seems pretty solid? To raise me he has to have at least king jack and even that's fairly donk - most hands capable of raising (88,22,K8,K2) beat me.

As for playing for ego, it's not like I'm making fancy moves any other times, really, so I'm not trying to 'outplay' people every hand. I guess it was ego, and it cost me - but I also would've liked to see him take shots at me, thinking I'm weak-tight.

this ones easy fold right away and make it look like a bluff and by the way a solid player doesnt play K8 and get two pair
