What am i doing wrong? - Blind steals at 3/6

What am i doing wrong with my blind steals at 3/6? When i filter my PT stats for my attempts to steal i show a profit of only .015 BB / hand, which has a negligable impact on my win rate (.0015 BB / 100). Either i'm wasting a lot of mental energy playing marginal hands or there is room for improvement post-flop. All i can figure out is that i'm seeing showdown a bit too often.

Att. To Steal Blinds: 40.95%

Steal Success:
No flop %: 28.7
I Fold %: 26.0
WwoSD %: 47.3
WSD %: 26.7
W$SD %: 49.3

After a blind steal raise, i generally autobet the flop. The players at 3/6 aren't terribly agressive blind defeners and rarely get tricky. When they bet back at me, they usually have something (often top pair).

Turn play:

If i have a pair or better, oesd, or flush draw:
-if he checks, i usualy bet.
-if he bets turn, i usually call.

If i have nothing on a scary board:
-if he checks, i usually take the free card.
-if he bets turn, i usually fold.

River play:

If i have bottom / small pair:
-if he checks, i usually check behind. if it looks like he missed a straigh/flush draw i bet.
-if he bets, i fold unless he's really agressive

If i have 2nd highest pair:
-if he bets, i usually call
-if he checks, i check behind if he raised on the flop or turn. i bet if he just called down.

If i have top pair or better:
-if he bets, i raise if i have good kicker, call otherwise on an uncoordinated board
-if he checks, i usually bet

I really have trouble when the river card makes 4 flush or 4 connected. My hand reading skills aren't great. But at party 3/6 people do such silly sheit...

Win rate sucks on the button

My winrates by position are possibly an indication that my open-raising criteria from the button may be too loose.

Win rate

UTG: .07
MP: .08
CO: .11
Button: .07

I sounds like you are playing a bit by rote. Maybe too much so. I'm not sure if this is helpful but have you read the river chapter in King Yao's book "Weighing the Odds in Hold'em Poker"? He goes through correct river play heads-up very nicely and it sounds like you could use another perspective on it (and there is math too ).

40% att to steal the blinds is quite aggressive and doesnt indicate you are picking your spots to steal, maybe stealing on auto.

Id cut down to 36, maybe less until you feel a little more comfortable.

I think with 40 you got to be very good post flop and even then your playing alot more marginal hands and getting yourself in all kinds of post flop marginal situations.

I think i agree with you. The huge number of hands i'm playing from the button in blind steal attempts have a very marginal win rate. It's pulling down my average button win rate quite a lot.

If i play a few less marginal steals i'd have more free time. i could pay more attention to my other tables, get better reads, etc.

As others have noted I think this is waaay too high for 3/6. With the looseness of the games, the blind structure, and the impact of the rake.
