\"loose flop call\" or just let it go

Villan was a little loose preflop and passive pre/post but after the flop I've never seen him bet out of line without TP at least and usually he's still being passive with that

I have little room for improvement if I'm behind what do you guys think

true.
but you're getting 15:1 and you can probably count on making up the difference in big bets if you hit your set.

especially with button calling...

i'd make this loose flop call, even though the J spades might be tainted.

And you also improve somewhat if you hit a T/K/8.

Don't forget that there are redraws even if you improve on the turn

I probably raise here if I think the guy is good enough to try to raise to knock out the button and see the river for free (spade draw). If you haven't seen him raise with a draw like that I would probably slow down if he's real straightforward and only bets TP.

If he's that passive you could be up against a set of Q's, 9's or 5's or maybe AQ and he's trying to face the button with 2 cold in case he has spades??

Unless I've seen him raise a draw (which most unimaginative folks at these limits don't do) I probably call and check/fold the turn.

15:1 on a 2-outer is certainly not too loose for me to make this call. I hate raising pf and betting flop and then folding to a single reraise.

And, many people would play a flush draw this way, so you may still be ahead without catching another J.

Over how many hands is your read? I'd definitely call the flop; I think without a really solid read Villain could be on a nut-flush draw here too.
