DELL 2001FP 20.1-questions
 

Hey all,

I posted a couple days ago my predicament of getting 2 crts or 2 of these dells. I think i'm going to pull out from the BR and get 1 LCD for now. If its insanely enjoyable/good I'll get the 2nd one.

I just wanted to know though...i know it'll be fine for browsing and multi tabling, but how are these dell LCDs with TV/DVD playback?

Furthermore, is it possible to somehow plug a video game console into one and use it as a TV?

Yes. It's got svideo and RGB inputs. I plug my xbox in and run the sound into my computer's aux input and then bust the sound out of my speakers. It works well, it's a sharp image. (The 2001fp has no speakers so you need to get sound somewhere else)

Can I use s-video slot for 2nd monitor? If so, how? (isn't working)

sir they are quite sexy.

It's resolution is many times better than your TV so for broadcast TV it will look a litle blochy, for DVD's it's just sexy fine.

Yes, just plug in an s-video cord connected to something else and switch the mode on your 2001fp to "3", s-video.
