What is the best playing style?

What kind of style one should use to be a winner?

Re: What is the best playing style?

Basically no style wins in the long run, as you must adjust to opponents; though if they think the same, then what style is anyone using? But that is too much philosophy for me. Some people though do use a style succesfully, but only with the limit and place and time they usually play; when they play elsewhere they turn losers. The best players have no style, not even the tigh-aggressive style that the todays losers use; it was the winning style of yesterday. One has to adjust to opponents (and situations), there being no other correct style.

You seem to be thinking out aloud. Do you want someone to post something that you can just say is wrong?

This essay is sort of relevant, it explains the different "playing styles" we go through as poker players.

It talks about poker experts that play with a little bit of both tightness and imagination.
