When to raise nut draws?

Generally speaking, are you more likely to raise draws when heads up, or in multiway pots?

Heads up it seems like a good idea because your actual and implied odds won't be as high, and you only have 1 player to go through.

Multiway, you have much better pot and implied odds, but it is much less likely that your raise will take down the pot immediately, and it's more dangerous to reopen the betting.

Does it matter if you are drawing to the nuts or not?

It depends.

I wasn't looking for a definitive answer, but thanks for trying. I had hoped a discussion would ensue, but I guess not.
