preflop question party 20/40

You are playing 20/40 on party.
Sitting to the left of a player who isn't too good.

UTG folds, and your villan raises, you have 66.

What would his statistics need to be in order for you to re-reaise here?

to call here?

to fold here?

Re: preflop question party 20/40

I left out an important detail!

The table is 7 handed.

I would re-raise a PFR > 30%
I would call a PFR < 30% if the table was loose passive.
I would fold to a PFR < 30% if the table was tight agressive.

Should I 3-bet with 66 against 20% pre-flop raisers who play bad post-flop?

I think you're asking the wrong questions. While the villians VPIP and PFR% are certainly important, they aren't nearly the most important thing to consider.

John Feeney (sp)talks about this as one of the most common mistakes made by good limit Hold'em players. Over use of the isolation 3bet with a small PP. While the chance that you may or may not be dominated is certainly important, much more important is the likelyhood that everybody else will fold, especially the blinds.

My decision to 3 bet would be based more on the likelyhood that i'll get heads up then what I think of the PFR raising standards.

thoughts,

Table conditions are important, which makes it tough to formularize.

I start looking at 3-betting here when PFR~17 and I will go lower or higher depending on how likely I am to isolate the raiser.

I agree that this very critial.
Personally, I consider his raising standards first and then the table behind me. If he is not at least a 30% PFR then I don't consider raising.

In this case I knew that table would cooporate.
