1 week till Vegas
 

OK, heading back out to Vegas in a week. I'm staying at the Mirage cause they're always so gracious to me. Gonna be playing 20/40 and 30/60. I know I don't post that often but if anyone's in the area I would love to meet and maybe sit at a game with them.

I am new to the forum also, but I will also be in vegas on the 11th thru 15th and I am also staying at the mirage, and definetly plan to play 20/40 & 30/60
Plane does not get in until late thurs night...

Guys please forgive me for sounding like an idiot because I go to Vegas about 4 times a year and actually lived there for 2 years while in college but I was wondering what getting your rooms at the "poker rate" means? Is it a way to get comped and how do I get it? I'll also being staying at the Mirage in August but would like to get in on some cheaper lodging if thats what "poker rate" means. Thanks

Poker rate is a discounted rate, which varies by casino, that is given to poker players who play 6 hours (average time needed) per day of each day they want discounted. Most will not give you 2 nights discount for 12 hours in one day. 6 hours play for each night on that day is needed. Just call the poker rooms first. Some hotels require you to book through the hotel, some through the poker room and so on. Each is different. For exacts, best to contact them directly.

Thanks for the info Photoc. I just started playing live poker but always wondered if there was some sort of comp system for poker players.

Poker players are hard to comp because we can never get our free stuff fast enough. Apart from some food vouchers and front of the line passes, it's slim pickings
