Crypto £1/2)

I am currently playing £1/2. Many of the players at the table have a PFR of <8% often <5% and a VP£IP around 20%. ON being beaten by one player AK vs my A10 I asked him why he never raised preflop (his PFR is around 2%). His answer as some garbled crud about some tables being different from others. My questions are:
1/ Are there any reasons for limping in with big hands like AK, KK (all the time from any position) preflop at this level?
2/ any strategies for beating these types players with VP£IP 20%ish and PFR <8%

P.S: I did put him on limping in with a better kicker so checked the river.

Tassie,

1. I will be the first to contend that GBP 1/2 games on Crytpo do belong on this site instead of micros because of the exchange rate.

2. There is no reason you should be limping AK, KK, etc. on these tables. Whatever that dude was talking about is wrong.

2a. Don't take advice from crusty dudes who don't raise AK pre-flop.

3. The major key to beating these tight passive games is to play aggressively, to make sure you extract value from your good hands, and to look for opportunities to exploit your opponents tight/weakness:

-Steal the blinds.
-Play the flop aggressively to encourage opponents to fold mediocre hands/draws that they should be playing.'
-Don't pay off your opponents value bets because they will tend to be playing pretty good cards.

4. Post SPECIFIC HANDS. That's how we can really start to help you out.
