Was this sane?

Pacific Poker, 2/4

Hero is BB with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (9 handed)
UGT calls, UGT+1 calls, 2 fold, MP2 calls, SB folds, BB checks

Flop: 4 handed, 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4.5 SB)
Hero checks, 2 checks, MP2 bets, Hero raises . . .

The villian is willing to bet a range of hands here. Does this make sense as an isolation play?

It's not insane.

It would be better to try this if the overcard was any card but an ace. There's lots of "any ace" types out there. I think the pot is too small to try this middle pair reduce the field raise.

The ace on the flop is a problem with what is otherwise probably a good idea.

I can't count how many player notes I have on people that start with "Any Ace" or "will raise Ax off".

They're the people you want at the table. They pay off your AK and AQ handsomely when an A comes out on the flop.

This might not be the best situation to iso.
