Villian seemed like a LAG from what I saw of his play. Is the flop 3 bet a good play or am I a donkey? Thanks for any comments.

This is crazyness.

I really like villains cap-check, though.

I would not 3bet that flop. I want to get to showdown with this hand.

I would make sure at least one bet went in on every street however.

yeah the cap-check by vilain really gave his hand away IMO.

Yucko.

If he's a lag you want to be raising pre-flop. If he's that laggy, and you decide you're seeing a showdown, then you don't want to be putting in muchos bets.

If villan's a LAG, why aren't you 3-betting preflop?

PF and flop are ugly. 3-bet PF, get to SD with ace high as cheap as possible. The flop three bet is awful and u're getting c/red just about always on that flop when he checks so I would just check.

Re: Party 5/10 AQs vs LAG

I think you should 3-bet this hand pre-flop. It would help define his hand more postflop.

There are times when I would 3-bet the flop here, and other times when I would fold to a check-raise. More often, I would have been out of this hand without putting a cent in on the flop.

This is such a small pot...I don't see taking this hand any further, unless you thought there was a strong likelyhood that your opponent was on a flush draw, in which case, I can't really say you did much wrong.

My vote goes for donkey.

j/k

Flop three-bet is totally pointless. What are you trying to accomplish? Even against the laggiest types, you rarely have any kind of equity edge. Three-betting for a free-card rarely works. Just call and turn an A.
