Stealing from the Big Stack

If it's folded to you on the button/small blind and the chip leader is behind you (say 2x your stack or greater), how does that influence your stealing agenda? I'm always a little wussy here, power through and push anyway? I know it's read dependent, but at the lower limits it's easy to mistake "reads" for "whims" so I only go with very convincing/consistent behavoirs. Often I'm up against a big stack who's shown both loose and tight tendencies. So yeah, thoughts? (sure at a certain point the blind levels make this a moot point, but when you still have some breathing room and just need to build your stack to be able to confront the bubble, what's a good mindset?)

Besides being read dependent, I think you have to play tighter and steal less against the bb. Reasons are that he can call and will call more often, plus it's always a better idea to target the smaller stacks and improve your chances of getting ITM. (Which is what its all about)
