need to raise flop to get this heads up IMO. make MP fold any possible draws or better pair. your hand is very susceptible to draws and redraws and can be counterfeited

turn raise is good. id call down as u did cuz we're readless here and then make a note on this player afterwards and then add him to my buddylist immediately.

I would raise the flop, you can't afford to give a cheap card here..

If SB 3 bets... then I probably call and fold the turn UI... I think AA, KK, QQ, AQ, KQ, JJ, AJ, AT are all possibilities -- The only hand you beat here is KK, QQ.. hummmm ...

If SB 3 bets and checks the turn I bet and fold to a raise.

comments?

edit: don't post results until later, you'll get skewed responses

i like it. i'd probably want to fold the river (straight up or to an MP1 raise) but the pot is getting pretty big at that point.

I like the turn raise; I play it the same. SB is not folding a K or Q on the flop, so I wouldn't raise the flop, opting to punish SB on the turn.

I guess a flop raise could be good for protecting against MP1, but it looks like he was happy to come along even for the turn raise - awesome! I'm guessing raising the flop will be what everyone advises, though....but turn raises are just so much more enjoyable, I think.

This is not a typical "two overpair" example.. while villian may not fold a K or Q he is unlikely to 3 bet it also... you must define your hand to protect it and gain information to know how to continue to play this hand. Raising the turn with a huge draw board and middle two pair to an SB pf raiser and flop bettor in a 3 way pot is spewing IMHO..

I think the Turn raise is good as it puts pressure on anyone behind you with pair + gutshot type hands that will call whether it is one or two bets on the flop. Plus if you raise the flop and get three bet it is more difficult to know where you stand at least against sane opponents.

that's been my dilemma: spewing or good? am i ahead often enough?

I don't like slowplaying bottom two pair on a broadway board for reasons already posted.

Given the turn action I think you missed value on the flop not raising because it seems like MP has a certain propensity to cold-call (possibly he picked up the flush draw and wanted to see the river - but my guess is that he would've called two cold on the flop too).

Raise the flop. You give the limper good odds to call with a gutshot draw or weak ace when you call. It will also help to see how the SB reacts to the raise.

I'm curious what you put SB on when he 3 bets not only you, but the cold-caller as well on the turn. I'd be sick in that spot of it happened to me. Don't you think he will often have your 2 pair beaten?
