Herman-Miller Aeron Arm falling down
 

I know a lot of you have this chair... the [censored] right arm keeps sliding down a tiny bit every few hours. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

never had this happen to mine, is there a place to tighten with the allen key??

We've got Aerons at my office that are years old -- unfortunately, it seems that at least for the chairs here, once the arms start to slip you're pretty much SOL. The track and clamp have worn down, and any attempt to shim the arm tends to make the track wear down faster.

(Of course, if anyone here happens to come up with a better solution than shimming the arm, I've got about a half-dozen chairs here that might become usable again)

Maybe you could get a part replacement from the company, as much as those things cost they should be happy to help you out.

I bought it off ebay so it'd be a pain. I think I'm just going to try duct tape.

OK! This is how you do it. Take the back off the chair. There are allen key screws connecting the arms to the rest of the chair. Tighten those. Problem solved!
