it must be hot outside b/c i just coldcalled

I very rarely cold call. The limper and preflop raiser were such donks along with super-loose blinds so I decided to play along.

why bet the flop? you've not got any hope of knocking them all out, you have no good draw....your getting your money in when u have the worst of it.

i dont like the way uve played this at all...

fwiw, i was folding to ANY aggression. i bet to limit the field, represent the scare cards, and to fold a bigger ace.

Don't raise the river. We're splitting the pot with a weaker ace, and we might be beat by an AJ+ or trip queens that missed a c/r on the turn. There is not much we're ahead of, I can't see a T all of a sudden wanting to bet the river when an ace falls, and similarly with any underpairs. If it's a cold-bluff he won't call our raise anyways.

i agree. i would just about never raise that river, it would open me up to to the big street raise i have been trying to avoid if i am behind.

1. Don't cold-call pre-flop. A weak suited A doesn't play that well against any type of field. Just because your opponents are donks doesn't necessarily make marginal/weak hands playable. Your hand will still often be dominated and flush potential, despite the higher expected returns, does not merit the cost.

2. Don't bet the flop. I can think of no good reason to bet this flop. You won't win with a bet here. Cleaning up outs doesn't make any sense as the good aces out there have caught a piece of this and you'd only be buying half the pot from weaker aces. Spade draws and straights mean several probably will remain interested in the proceedings.
