Stud books worth reading
 

I'm looking to become a better stud player. Are there any books out there worth reading besides 7CSFAP? Thanks.

I'm not a stud player, but I've always heard from other board members that the stud chapter(by Chip Reese) in Super System is a very good supplement to 7CSFAP.

Its great, but not as useful for low limit players. Worth a read however.

I am getting into stud myself, what kind of book is preferable if you start at 1/2 2/4 limit?

do not make the mistake of playing party. find a site with a better ante structure, many exist.

stud isn't going anywhere in the long run, whether you choose to learn is specific to your situation. I learned stud (high hand only) so I can play max tables to clear bonuses on networks which do not always have enough LHE action to go around, like Crypto, Bodog and Prima. if you are not a super grinder type then it's probably not necessary unless you find that you actually like the game itself.

the higher antes simply mean that the games will be looser and almost as beatable as Party Hold Em tables. so you should not avoid playing stud on that network simply due to that reason, it's just that Hold Em is even better for the most part.

Low limits games will be loose anyway. People playing .5/1 or 1/2 or whatever might not even know the size of the ante, let alone how to adjust their play for it. The larger antes just make their play more "accidentally" correct.

Why play on Party when there are games just as loose on other sites with a normal ante?
