u don't have as much FE as before, but u aren't gonna get better cards in a better situation than 3 folds before u...and if u do, u'll likely have half the chips u have now anyway, so it will just get u back to where u currently are

there are also 5, not 4, so u really have to do something

i don't like the lack of FE, but u still have an ace and this is most likely ur best situation to make ur stand...225 blinds is 25% of ur stack

This one I push because you need the chips worse than you did in the other because there are 5 left, and you and 2 others have comparable stack sizes. You also have more FE on the BB this time.

How does he have less FE this time? It's much more significant for the BB if he calls and loses than the other hand.

Re: another A6o near bubble

if BB calls and loses, he's still in 2nd place

and he figures that with ur stack, u may be pushing with less than a6

in the other one he had over 1/2 the bb's stack and would ruin the bb's chances of bullying if he lost the hand

would u rather be bb with 1720 and stacks of 790/2340/3150 on ur table (first one)

or bb with 1355 and stacks of 1015/2565/1275/1790

i guess neither is ideal, but at least in this situation, the bb winning puts him into bullying territory, while in the other one, he's already in bullying territory, so why call a coinflip that takes that away from him when he could just fold and then bully the next hand?

Re: another A6o near bubble

my problem with this push is BB is not calling with anything i'm ahead of, except maybe KQ. i haven't looked at numbers, but i wouldn't be surprised if i'd rather hand 78s against his range here. in the battle of blinds hand, there are a lot more a2/KT-type hands that call.

Re: another A6o near bubble

I'd rather be in the first situation because I still have a great shot at making the money. In the second situation, 4 of the 5 stacks are in the same territory and I'm one of them. My chances of finishing ITM would be drastically cut by a call and loss, which isn't the case in the first hand.

Re: another A6o near bubble

u don't want him to call u

the odds that he gets a better hand than u are what? 15%? 20%? u are stealing 25% of ur stack in blinds...and u are short stack with 5 left...and nobody is in the pot yet...and u have an ace...u have to push here
