What do you do in these situations?

I sometimes find myself in these situations and am unsure of what to do.

Party 10+1 or any other single table tourny.

Its down to 6 handed.
You are the shortest stack or second shortest stack and everyone else at the table has an average stack with each other. All average players as well.
The blinds are 150/300
and you have around 550 in chips

You are in early position (UTG or UTG+1) and get dealt something like K9 suited.

What do you usually do? Push, or hope you get dealt something better in the next couple of hands?

Push. I would push much worse hands than that.

agree. K9s isn't that bad a hand, and pushing it is better than dying in the BB with some random hand.

Same situation only this time you are ITM and on the button with a small stack and are dealt this hand. What would you do? What do you push with? What do you call with?

Thinking this way will help you to play 4-6 handed more aggressively. Of course, you'll bust out a tad more when a monster calls, but you'll pick up chips and head into ITM more often in stronger shape.

It's a pretty easy push in both situations. K9s is really nice short handed.
