Vegas from 7/22 - 7/29? Anyone else

So I'll be in Vegas for work for a week, "attending" a conference.

I plan on playing at the Alladin daily tourneys, with my cash games being mostly the Mirage and the Wynn. I may play some drunken night time holdem at MGM or the Palms (I love drunken holdem at the Palms late night).

Anyone want to meet up any of those days. 7/22 & 7/29 are travel days, but any of the others should work.

Capone, I tried to find you last trip and somehow missed.

Let me know.
JJ

I'll be there of course too. Find Capone and you'll most likely find me. We have the same days off atm.

I'll be there 07/27 - 08/01.

I'm staying at the Aladdin the 27th and 28th and moving to the MGM for the weekend. If you can keep Al from kicking me in the nuts for a few minutes, I'll buy us all a round or four.

Anyone who is buying the beer has temporary immunity from getting kicked in the nuts by me

Sweet, a freeroll.

Is it ok to PM you on potential magooing?

It's always ok to PM me, but I might send you back an email kick in the nuts if I don't like what you have to say, I've had a bad day and feel like taking it out on some unsuspecting fool, etc.

Vocabulary question:

What is the meaning/origin of "magoo"?

I assume it means playing for fun with other 2+2ers at lower stakes in an effort to amusingly take the money of fish while not taking too much from each other. Correct?

"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I first used the word "Magoo" in my tales from the tables. "Magoo" is a somewhat generic term that originated in Atlantic City. Years ago, Jesus (Zeus) Marrero said "That man plays like that cartoon character, the nearsighted Mr. Magoo. He can't even read his own cards, and he certainly doesn't know what to do with them."

Magoo is a term for a player who is so clueless that even reading the board seems beyond their capacity. Since its beginnings, the term has evolved into a somewhat ambiguous, all-purpose word. It can be a noun, a verb, an adjective, and probably a pronoun or adverb too, if you really get creative. Still, it's primarily a noun, referring to a bad player who makes a bad play. "

The term can also be used for 2+2ers getting together and playing extra stupid whilst consuming large amounts of beer.
