I didn't know what to think of this one. the way he bet suggested he may have a T or K but the bets were so small. How do you guys play it?

I agree that the bets were so small that you couldn't really fold perchance that he was playing with low/middle pair.

I put him on Ace/Ten and making cheap blocking bets.

Raise him on the turn to see where he really is....

Thanks, what is a blocking bet? How much would you raise the turn?

A blocking bet is a small bet used to TRY and get someone to NOT raise.

He bets .35 on turn, I'd bet $3 there, that's over half the pot and not too much damage if he goes over the top by chance, and he likely folds, otherwise.

If he smooth calls, react to his river action, and if he checks river, check behind.

So often, those weak bets are really WEAK bets. Player independent though, watch each player's methods on those WEAK bets.

You really should have included blind amounts and pot size in your post, nevertheless I think when you call on the end he shows you five high for a missed OESD, with a small possibility of something like 99.

If he had top pair just be happy he did not charge you much, you easily win money from him and his ilk in the long run.

I'd fold that flop... I'm assuming it was .10/.25 blinds and there's $1 in the pot...

if you're intent on playing it then you really have to raise that turn... the best you can hope for is that he has 45, AT, QT or JT and that he'll release thinking you have a king...

however if he really is that donkish then he'll call your turn raise and check call the river with his T... i say you play your 77 for set value and let it go when it could easily be dominated.
