Official HULA 3 signup thread
 

There seems to be no great objection to my running HULA so I figure we might as well get started on getting teams together.

Here are the planned specifics (mostly stolen from gonores' rules for the last one and all subject to change):

- Game and match format will be 30BB start, blinds double after 1 hour (team with most victories win)
- Teams will consist of 1 captain, 4 draft picks, and 1 non-paying team sub
- $50 one-time entry fee
- Draft will take place in an AIM chat room (you MUST have AIM to be a captain)
- Captains will be the recipient of a 10% rake from other players. Therefore, captains receive 140% of the individual prize payout, other players receive 90%.
- Until we are asked to move, we will move day-to-day business to the HUSH forum on 2+2
- I will handle the approval process, and I will scrutinize each sign-up.
- Payout will be determined once we have settled on a number of teams.
- Site for matches is still being determined (will be decided soon)


If this sounds like something you'd like to do please post in this thread. You don't have to have played in HULA before or even be good at poker, just as long as you are interested and can commit an hour or two each week to play a match. I'll repeat that, YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO SCHEDULE AND PLAY ONE MATCH EACH WEEK. If you are likely to end up bailing on this at some point please us the favor of not signing up because you will make it a pain for everyone.

If you want to be a captain please say so in your post. It will require a little extra effort each week to get your teams matches set and make sure everything is in order; you will also have to be around for the draft which I'd like to get done by the end of this week. So far sthief09 and I will be captains. We need 1/team so the total number will depend on how many teams we can get (which I obviously don't know yet). If you would be interested in being one just say so and we can figure out the rest later.

I'm in, and I'll even foolishly volunteer to be a captain. Team IValueRaiseJackHigh will be a formidable force to reckon with.

On second thought, maybe me being a captain is a bad idea [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img].

Eh, put me on both lists (player + possible captain) anyway.

I would like to play - but be advised i would not be able to play a match between thursday and monday of this week (the 21st - 25th or something like that). If that makes it to hard then strike me off the list - otherwise my schedule is wide open.
