tunica tourney in Aug?
 

I just heard tales of a tournament being held down in Tunica the week I plan on being there...Aug. 8-13... anybody know anything about this?

Formerly the Mid-America Classic. It's now a WSOP Circuit event, and I think Harrah's has moved it from the Horseshoe to the Grand.

The tourney was the Horseshoe Mid-America. It's now a WSOP circuit event and we moved it from Horseshoe to Grand. There's more space at Grand and it'll be run by Ken Lambert and Johnny Grooms, of Horseshoe. The tourney starts Aug.10 and ends the 25th. The final event will be a 10k event filmed by ESPN. Made my reservations a couple days ago. Looking forward to seeing your new poker room. Can you promise NO mosquitos this year?

No mosquitos in Mississippi? I think there's a law in place somewhere protecting the state bird.
