Have spyware, please help!!

somehow yesterday a ton of spyware got onto my computer, including some malware, what are the best free software to get rid of this stuff?? I currently have Spybot and Adaware and neither of these to be doing a complete job.

Any help would be greatlt appreciated!

go to majorgeeks.com. find the forum that discusses spyware and they will give you detailed instructions on how figure out what you have and how to remove it. read the sticky that gives you instructions on how to remove it before posting.

You might try Search and Destroy (a google search will find it) and/or the Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (search the microsoft site)

Both product are free and I have had great success with them.

I never had much success with adaware and spybot.

I currently use both SpySweeper and Microsoft AntiSpyware and they both do a great job.

you'll get a lot of good responses here no doubt but I highly recommend the TDS-3 forums they really know their stuff over there. Even if you don't use their products they are really helpfull in their forums.

its a lot easier to keep from getting them then it is to get rid of them. The only thing I use is Javacool's spywareguard and spywareblaster both free and both excelent. Its tiny memory resident program works really well even on old slow computers.

Thanks everyone for ther advice it is extremely helpful and keep it coming.

Since the infection, I have tried to run Full Tilt, it opens, I login and then when the announcements pop up appears the program freezes. DO you think this is possibly a result of some of the malware on my system? Or have other people been experiencing this lately as well?

There is a computer technical help forum for these kinds of questions!

Not flaming, just making sure everyone is aware.
