How secure is my laptop?

Hi, I just got a laptop with a D-link wireless router and since I'm gonna be using it for poker mostly I'm a bit paranoid about how secure my laptop is. I set up the secure connection, if I just use the D-link firewall, ad-aware, and spybot should I be nice and secure and not have to really worry about anything? Thanks.

wireless will never be completely secure, the only truely secure computer is an unplugged one. But, if you are paranoid, I would use a wired network.

As long as you have WEP setup on your wireless network you should be okay. Changing your WEP key often (let's say once a month) would be a good thing to do.
