Bubble hand #1.

Villain had been raising a ton of hands preflop. I'd say hi s range is Kx, Ax, or any two broadway. I had just taken a huge beat where I pushed with a set and got runner runnered, removing my chip lead. Average stack is about 17K but I don't feel like I'm under any pressure here to double up since I have > 12BB left.

If that's his range, why would you call with Q3s and then check the flop? Either fold it preflop, or lead out on the flop if there is a good chance he missed. I prefer a fold because you don't want to call off chips with weak hands and only 12x left. You need to be more selective at this point, and lead with aggression if you choose to play.

1. I likely have 2 live cards and I'm getting almost 4:1.
2. I checked with the intention of pushing. He's not an idiot, he'll put in a continuation bet.

I like your call preflop. You are getting great pot odds, you have a good read on your opponent and good implied odds knowing that if you hit a flop you are probably doubling up. After the flop you have to decide whether you really need to double up or not. An argument can be made for pushing straight off or check raising him all in as you did. Either way the hand was played pretty well.

looks ok... I would prefer to fold preflop, but the call is fine.
