Chasing a flush in NL50
 

had a flush draw, wasn't sure what to do with it--should i have kept calling for odds? i'm pretty sure i played the odds correctly even though i dumped a lot of money into the pot chasing it... also, i wasn't trying to be tricky at the end. please critique my play:

Yes because I've got a high ace and I don't think he's betting with an A in his hand. Therefore I count my winning cards as K, 8, A or diamond..

you made a very very strong hand on that flop. im putting in a monster raise on the flop; barring that definitely it's all going in on the turn.

because of all of my outs? i'd be scared to throw it all in on draws.. i guess that's why i rarely involve myself in big hands like that

How in the world are you counting kings and 8s as outs?

i used to be like this. then i started winning a lot more money.

give it a try, you'll be surprised how good it feels. rememebr that with a 12 out draw you need very very little folding equity (you're 48% to win) to make the play profitable.

Is it only me? I'm so confused by this hand. Where are all these outs. Why is he counting kings and 8s? The only clean outs he has are spade outs that don't pair the board.

Is Fimbul being sarcastic?

1.) I don't like raising in EP w/ a marginal holding like AJ.
2.) You have a HUGE draw on that flop - so bet it like you have a huge draw. If you raise EP you're representing a MONSTER. Bet the 2/3 to the full pot on this flop.
3.) Pushing this river with a monster like you have isn't really the best idea - bet 1/2 of the pot, and try to get some value out of your hand.
