TP decent kicker turn raise multi-way...

Tonight I was in a game that was written out of the SSHE book. 6-9 way action constantly for usually 1 raise BTF.

5 limpers to me and I'm on the button with J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
and I call, SB calls, BB (very loose pre-flop, but decent post-flop player and has been raising at least 70% of the hands he plays) raises. All call.

Flop comes 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

SB checks, BB bets, 4 guys call and I call on the button, SB folds.

Turn is a 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

BB checks, 3 more guys check then LP dude bets, I raise.

Comments welcome.

I sure do like it, unless you call a 3bet. Then I don't like it anymore, and I don't like you either.

I liked the way you played. Perfect. I have a question for you. What if he 3 bet the turn, you giving up or calling down in this big pot?

i like it. i like it more if you had been seeing BB slow down on the turn for most of his hands.

edit: missed your read as plays decent postflop. nice hand.

Looks good if it will get BB to fold an overpair. I'd definately check behind on the river though, you've done your job of protecting your hand. Folding to a 3-bet would probably be correct as long as LP dude plays a pretty straightforward game without getting too tricky.

If I am 3-bet I call and then call the river. This LP dude was stuck a lot and was making some desperations moves so there's a good chance he could've been semi-bluffing.

He has no overpair, I am almost very sure of that. If he has an overpair, he'll bet the turn. If he has any big heart in his hand, he will bet the turn. Very likely he has A-x with no heart.

Thanks for the feedback guys,

I thought raising the turn was a much better option here since no one was going out on that flop to just 1 raise combined with the fact that a lot of turn cards will destroy my hand making it tough for me to play the turn should any overcard, heart it.

The turn gave me a lot of information and when everyone checked to the LP dude, it was a correct raise IMHO in case anyone else had a small-mid heart and I didn't want them sticking around.

Everyone folded back to the LP dude who called.

River comes the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

He checks, I check. He shows 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] offsuit and I win.

Would you have folded if BB fired the second barrel on the turn and everyone called?
