6-table as opposed to full table

Any suggestions on the difference in what hands to play?
All comments appreciated.
Considering Party just introduced 6-tables on 0,5/1 we will probably see loads of fish on those tables...

Read this and a bunch of the posts it links too. They are all pretty helpful for beginning 6-max play.

i found a shorthanded preflop chart someone around the forums. find that because you play more-or-less completely different hands- by "different" i mean MORE. too many to really type out and explain.

all the babble summarized: search around for a shorthanded preflop chart.

you must have gotten some really bad tables, they were the typical superbad donks on the couple that I played

There's a starting hand chart here that seems to generate a fair amount of agreement. If you go forward a couple of pages, you can find an excel version of a very similar chart that is easier to print.

Personally, I didn't find the consensus starting hand chart to be surprising at all. If you were in a full ring game and the first four players all folded, how would your hand evaluation change? If you understand the answer to that question, you're golden.
