Cardrooms near Seattle airport

Ive got an overnight layover in seattle this Friday and am trying to find out if there are any cardrooms within walking distance or short cab ride of the airport. Thanks

Hi there. You can take a relatively short cab ride from Sea-Tac International to a place in Renton called Diamond Lil's. Only about a ten minute ride, and very good poker action there!

there are 2 B&M places near Sea-Tac correct? i went there last christmas, had a one night layover there and decided to check out the nearest card room. i walk in and oh wait, i'm stopped! guy asks for my ID, no biggie, i bust out 2 pieces of federally issued ID cards w/pictures, guy says nope, i need to see your driver's licence. (i'm canadian btw) i'm like look, these are federally issued pieces of indentification, if US customs let me in with these, i certainly hope i can play cards here! lol...he shakes his head, "nope i need to see a driver's licence."

i call a manager over, she takes one look and says "he's good." i walk in there on tilt, not a good idea! lol in all fairness i was pretty bad at poker at the time, now i am basically the ownage

If it were me, I'd rent a car on priceline.com for $10 and drive up to Tulalip. Beautiful room and fewer cheats.

Midway Casino is not too far from the airport (<5 miles). The games are softer than at Lil's, or so I am told (haven't played Midway). Might be worth a look.

This site might be of some use to you.

Re: Cardrooms near Seattle airport

The New Grove in Everett is the main one that I thought was shady.

At first it appears like they are just maniacs but when one guy raises and 3 people in between call then the other guy raises 2,8off trapping the people in between then his buddy raises them again and the guy with 2,8 folds on the flop. I think that is shady. That went on every time i played there. The 2,8 raiser was not a bad player or dumb either so the only way that could have been profitable for him was if they were sharing a roll.

Another thing was the last night i played there i found out half of them were props, and on top of that there friends and family would come and play and they would do that trapping shat preflop then start a raising war between them on the flop and when the people who got trapped preflop would fold they would just check to the river.

Im not too experienced in these matters and i was real naive to it at the time but my boss who played there with me who has several years of casino experience pointed it out to me. Im not sure if its cheating or not but its defiantely shady.
