Probably some of the new Oklahoma rooms are your best bet. But I have no idea if any are near the AR border.

You servicing a Wal Mart account or something?

No. You have a cruise trip report to work on. Get busy.

Cherokee in Tulsa isn't very far. Let me know how it is, I'm thinking about checking it out, even though Tunica is closer to me in Little Rock.

I recently drove through there on I-40. There is a casino just across into OK, but I have no idea if it has poker.

Rick....live in Springfield Mo and have been keeping an eye on the poker room expansion in OK. Have only been playing online 4 mos, so not yet ready to venture into a live game....but accumulating some info for when I am.

Do a search here at 2+2 in the B&M forum using keyword Oklahoma...that should pull up some stuff.

There is supposed to be a Cherokee Casino just across the stateline from Ft Smith, with a poker room. Ask any local...they should be able to give you directions.

Be prepared for a high rake.....I've read posts earlier this year at this forum that the rake at Cherokee in Tulsa is quite high. Would guess they rake the same at all locations. Lower rake is available at casinos in Miami and Grove....but that's gonna be a bit of a haul for you over two lane rural highway....probably filled with elderly locals driving pickups 45 mph and rednecks trying to drive pickups at 80 mph.

If you have the time....Cherokee Tulsa is 2 hrs away by good 4-lane highway and is supposed to be pretty nice.

Easiest way to find a room is just ask around....convenience store clerks, restaurant staff, etc. Missourians and Arkansans have been flocking to these places for years about as much as they flock to the boats in KC, STL and Tunica. See, OK has OTB and the other locations do not....so people who want to play the ponies have always headed to OK. Locals are quite accustomed to giving casino directions to lost, out-of-state gamblers.

Rick, have you been to Cherokee Casino in Roland yet? If so, what did you think?

Cherokee in Tulsa is good, except for the excessive rake. They spread 4/8HE, 6/12HE, 10/20, 20/40 (sometimes). They also spread 2/5 and 5/10 NLHE, 1-5 Stud, and sometimes an O/8 game. I know that some of the dealers there have to go to siloam springs, AR to play, so there must be a card room there, too.
