Stack buy-in and Harringtons new book

Harrington writes that all styles and possibilities are open to you when you have a stack that is bigger than 30x the big blind... (technically, he talks about 20x the size of the pot -- but assuming no antes, this equates to 30x the BB).

So anything over >$30 is low end of 'deep stack' in a .50/$1 game

discuss

Are you certain this is cash games strategy?

Book 1 is very similar to cash game play... Book 2 discusses various stack sizes and how strategy changes... but the logic is often applicable because it is often just a matter of pot odds and position and betting sequences.

I have not read the book but, I am quite certain this applies to tourneys only. Anything > or = to 100 BB's is considered a large stack in a cash game. I am not experienced in tourneys at all but, I believe for you to have >30x BB you are in good shape due to the rising blinds.
