Another \"moving up\" post

I've been reading a lot of posts recently about moving from .50/1 to 1/2 and how some have found the transition pretty difficult. I personally have yet to play Party .50/1 but have a decent poker background. I've pretty much crushed games up to .25/.50 (which I know isn't saying much) and have spent the last several months casino whoring to build a BR while at the same time reading and rereading SSH, ITH, TOP. I also recently bought PT. Now finally to my question: With a bankroll sufficient enough to start playing at 2/4, should I still just move up to .50/1 and get some experience so I can go to 1/2, OR simply start off playing 1/2 to avoid what some are saying is a tough transition from the looseness of .50/1 to the so-called "rock garden" of 1/2?

Comments or suggestions greatly appreciated.

play .5/1 and get a PT database, then post again. (try around 10k hands)

If you have the BR for 2/4 don't play 0.5/1 or even 1/2. You are not going to learn anything useful. If you find out that your experience is not good enough then you can move back down.

I got the BR for 3/6 and am grinding the 1/2. Testing your game at 1/2 for a few thousand hands won't take long, and it's better than jumping to a level where the play is totally different from what he's been playing.

Emotionally speaking, getting sucked out on a 30BB pot at 1/2 is easier to take then the same 30BB suckout at 2/4. ie., TILT! Steaming through 50-100BB's at 2/4 can devastate his roll.

Test your game at 1/2, then move up if you feel you are capable of it.

I totally disagree. Please don't jump to 2/4 online you will regret it.

I play at 2/4 (more SH than full-ring) and I don't find it that scary at all

50-100BBs is not a big deal if you are properly bankrolled (>300BB)

100 BB is 1/3 of your roll if you have 300 BB. Don't be ridiculous Kapo.

Who is ridiculous?
You have 1000+ posts here and you never read before about the 300BB bankroll rule , about 50-100BB downswings being normal etc etc ??
