Bluff Detecting Dogs

There are dogs that can dtect when an epilectic is going to have an attack. Several minutes before an attack they alert their owner. Dogs can sniff out drugs and find survivors in an earthquake

In Africa they train giant rats to detect land mines. The rats can be quickly trained and are 95% accurate. They dont detonate the mines because they only weight about 3 pounds.

How about training a dog to detect when someone is bluffing? I bet the dogs could do it with a large degree of accuracy. Especially at high stakes or in a large pot. The dog would go over and point with one paw at the offending villain.

I have a dog that detects stupid posts, and he's pointing his paw straight at yours.

I had a hard time decidiing whether to trash this post for its poker content or for its over-all stupidity...

I'm leaning towards just general stupidity because I can't think of a single forum this thread could be posted in and taken seriously

Hehe...

I thought it was kinda funny and creative...

I don't mind stupid posts as much as the 34 replies blasting them...

Then again, I'm smoking peyote...

There's actually a story similar to the concept you describe in Oliver Sacks's great book "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat", where a bunch of patients with a neurological disease which left them unable to understand speech but with a corresponding heightened sensitivity to the intent behind speech (i.e. the subtle wavering of a person's voice, etc.) are all sitting in front of the television, laughing their asses off at President Reagan giving a serious address.

Dogs aren't allowed in casinos. So what you need to do is find a blind guy and teach his dog to play poker. Then take your new friends to your local casino and clean up.

The only problem I see is teaching the dog to stack poker chips.
